Dover Hotel

This was such an unexpectedly great find. My planned accommodations cancelled at midnight and someone was here at the Dover Hotel after 1am to get me a last-minute room. I was able to stay on the ground floor, so the only steps were the 2 to enter the building. The bed was comfy, and everything smelled nice and clean and fresh. The window opened all the way to let in a breeze, and the view from room 4 was nice and private (not looking into anyone else's window). There was even a fan pointed at the bed, which was perfect for my August stay. The en-suite bathroom is new and very clean, and although a little cramped for very large guests, it was still quite usable. At £90 walking in the door, this was a good value for such a clean, accessible, private room. There was even a small desk (with stool) where I could set my bags. I slept great and didn't have a chance to use the offered amenities of tv, coffee, tea, snacks, and other items listed available. Would definitely stay again for a few nights!

Excellent stay. The hotel was very clean, warm, and comfortable, with hot water available at all times. Despite being in a very central location, the area was quiet and felt safe, which made sleeping and resting very easy. The hotel is perfectly located next to Victoria Station and within walking distance of Buckingham Palace. The staff at the reception were professional, friendly, and very helpful. Great value for money and an ideal base for exploring London. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice, lively and clean and modern bathroom fittings. Breakfast adequate for our needs. Depending on what floor you are on there are a lot of stairs to navigate. 2 pensioners managed ok so not too much of a problem. Would stay again if coming to Victoria.

Certainly a budget hotel with small rooms, narrow (and slightly uneven) staircases, and very simple breakfast (toast & jam, cereal, yogurt) with little seating in the basement. However, rooms were very clean, bathroom was updated, and reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Not the kind of hotel to enjoy the room/amenities, but certainly good value near both Victoria station and Buckingham Palace.

Dover Hotel was a good fit for our short stay in London. Reasonably priced, very conveniently located, about 5 minutes walk from Victoria Station. The hotel was very clean, and felt very safe, and staff were very friendly. This is certainly a no frills location. There's no lift for luggage, our room was little other than a bed and a shower (we had a shared bathroom option), and breakfast was cereal, yogurt, and fresh toast. If you're just in need of a safe place to sleep and keep your things, I'd definitely recommend this spot.

A perfect budget hotel in the center of London! It’s significantly cheaper than surrounding options, making it a great choice for travelers on a budget. The rooms are small but very clean, with shared bathrooms in most cases, which wasn’t an issue for me. The breakfast is simple—toast with ham or Nutella, yogurt, and cereal—enough to start the day, though you might want more variety after a few days. Overall, five stars because it delivers exactly what you pay for: a clean, affordable stay in a fantastic location. Just what I needed!

Spent a few days here while in town. Great location right by Victoria Station, easy access to shopping and dining. Very clean and never felt unsafe, even while traveling by myself. The rooms aren't fancy, but if you are looking for safe and convenient place to sleep this works like a charm!

Its clean, safe area, staff friendly. Very convenient location, train station 5 min walk, 20 min to Big ben. Rooms aren’t super small, breakfast good enough for not spending on it outside.
